A child daycare owner has told parents they need to get off the phone when picking their children up by posting a very blunt message on the door of the daycare center. Here is what the sign on the front of the door says:
“You are picking up your child! Get off your phone!
Your child is happy to see you, are you happy to see your child?
We have seen children trying to hand their parents their work they completed and the parent is on the phone. We have heard a child say, “Mommy, mommy, mommy” and the parent is paying more attention to their phone than their own child. It is appalling!

One parent, Juliana Farris Mazurkewicz saw the message posted on the door and decided to take a picture of it and post it on Facebook. Of course, when she read it, she also realized she had her phone in her hand. However, although she is guilty of this same thing, she was not mad at the daycare owner but completely agrees with him about this.
Although Juliana agrees with it, not everyone does. Some parents are outraged by this message and one even said that what if the parent was working or had an emergency they were dealing with at the time? This parent said it is none of their business who uses the phone when they are picking up their children.
Juliana didn’t realize her post would go viral after she posted it but it has received over one million comments and reactions to it within the last few days of posting it.
