The thyroid gland is an endocrine gland located at the base of your neck.

This gland uses iodine from food sources in order to produce Triiodothyronine (T3) and Thyroxine (T4).
The hypothalamus is responsible for producing TSH, a hormone which signals the pituitary to tell the thyroid to produce less or more of T3 and T4. To put it simply, it maintains a balance between T3 and T4.
Therefore, when there are low levels of T3 and T4 in the blood, the pituitary gland produces more THS in order to stimulate the production of more thyroid hormones.
If there are high levels in the blood, the pituitary gland releases TSH to the thyroid, which in turn slows down the production of thyroid hormones.
Hypothyroidism is one of the most common thyroid conditions. It occurs as a result from too little T3 and T4 in the body. The main symptoms of Hypothyroidism are:

- 7 cups spring or filtered water
- 1 cup 100% cranberry juice
- 1/4 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

- 1/2 tbsp Ceylon cinnamon
- 1/4 tbsp nutmeg
